DL vs Oharue and Kaleb pt 6

A staticy and possibly not entirely sane laugh emerged from Caesar as he threw back his head. The robots in the stands jeered, red screens that displayed what were supposed to be their eyes glowing dangerously.
"Finish her off!" Caesar cried in mocking amusement. "The weak shall perish at the hands of our champions!"
Regulus looked into the audience with disgust, finally settling his gaze on the "King of the Coliseum." "No," Regulus yelled, tightening his grip on the dual headed spear he held. "I refuse to kill her! However…" Regulus sprung from the ground and swung his weapon at Caesar. The maniacal robot, completely unaware, was promptly sliced in two and the two halves clattered to the ground.
A silence fell over the robots in the audience and all mechanical heads turned to look at Regulus, who now felt that wasn't the smartest thing to do.
"C-crap," he muttered. "Athena!" he called.
"Right!" she yelled in response. Her snow white wings spread out and she jumped into the air, taking flight while Regulus sprinted out of the Coliseum after her. He snuck one last glance at Oharue and Kaleb before deciding they could take care of themselves. They had made it this far, after all. Regulus briefly met Athena outside the Coliseum before the partners took off again, afraid to look back at the crowd of robots chasing them.
When the two finally were able to lose the hoard, they slid to the ground, their backs against a wall. The two of them turned to look at each other, then abruptly burst out laughing. They were still in the tournament. They were alive.
They had each other.
What more could they ask for? As if on cue, a giant mechanical monster appeared. It's long, snakelike body was armed with multiple arms, each tipped with a whizzing saw blade. A voice boomed out of speakers that must have been built into its sides. "You two are becoming a thorn in my side… I hope you have fun with my… pet." Grainy laughter and a single scream echoed throughout the city.
